The average delivery times for Standard delivery are:

4-7 Business days for Australian wide including most country areas

7-10 Business days for WA country, far North QLD and most of NT, outside Alice Springs and Darwin.

For peace of mind, all packages within Australia are delivered via a tracked Australia Post service. If there is no one present to accept your delivery, Australia Post will leave a notice advising that your parcel will be retrievable from a nearby Post Office (or as indicated on the undeliverable notice).

Tip: If you work full-time during business hours, you may wish to provide your work address instead. Please include a business name with all business addresses. 

We offer Express Shipping through Australia Post. In most cases, your order is delivered the following business day after it is dispatched. The delivery timings are dependent on Australia Post's express shipping coverage network

Please note: Deliveries coming from our NSW location that is being delivered to WA or NT are NOT covered by the Express Post Next Business Day Guarantee. While this service will be faster than the regular postage speeds, it will still take several business days.

Any orders placed using PayPal e-Cheque as the payment method will not be dispatched until the payment is cleared. These take between 3-5 business days to clear, and then processing and postage times will commence after this.

No, once an order has been placed we are unable to alter or cancel the order. We process and ship orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible after placing your order and we will do our best to assist you.

You will receive your Australia Post tracking number via email once your order has dispatched. When you input the tracking number into the online tracking system, you will be notified of the delivery ETA. There can occasionally be postal delays by Australia Post that unfortunately, are out of our control. If you have any concerns about your delivery, we suggest that you first contact Australia Post and cite your tracking reference number.

Please ensure your delivery information is correct when you process your order. If Australia Post attempt delivery and are unsuccessful, please be sure to collect your package from the specified Post Office within the nominated time frame. If your orders are returned to us as you have provided incorrect information or did not collect your package before it was returned, you may be charged a fee to have it shipped out again.

The feet use a tough nylon material for easy walking.  They are not, however, meant for hiking.  The Selk'bag is a wearable sleeping bag first and foremost.  Just remove the booties so you can wear your own boots with the bag!

Yes!  Each Selk'bag comes with a "stuff sack" that is used to not only compress the bag but for carrying and stowing.  While we recommend that long-term storage is done in a laundry-type bag with good ventilation and space, the stuff sack is perfect for travel and stow away. 


ISO 23537 is the common sleeping bag testing standard adopted and strictly enforced by the US since 2017 (Previously known as EN13537), so we decided to test our products according to the toughest standard in existence.  

Ratings are based on a person wearing one long underwear layer and a beanie, sleeping on an insulated surface. Everyone's body and sleep comfort differ, and conditions of use (posture, clothing, sleeping pad R-value, wind, humidity, etc.) affect total insulation, so ISO ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth.

Here is a brief description of the temperature ratings:

Comfort: the temperature at which a standard woman wearing the Selk'bag can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position.

Limit: the temperature at which a standard man wearing the Selk'bag can expect to sleep comfortably in a relaxed position. 

Extreme: the temperature at which a standard woman wearing the Selk'bag can remain for six hours without risk of hypothermia or death.

Improving the temperature performance of the Selk'bag Sleepwear System is similar to improving the temperature performance of any technical sleeping bag product.  Try these methods to improve your Selk'bag performance:

  • Wear a Base Layer: wearing a quality base layer with your Selk'bag can improve temperature performance by 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit.  We recommend technical base layers that can both wick moisture and keep your warm.
  • Use a Sleeping Pad: sleeping on a quality sleeping pad can have a nice warming effect while you sleep.  We recommend technical pads, like Thermarest for example.
  • Pull Your Arms into the Chest Cavity: the Selk'bag is designed to allow the wearer to pull their arms into the chest cavity of the Selk'bag, thus acting more like a traditional mummy bag when temperatures are very low.
  • Cuddle: something you can't do in a mummy bag, and that's cuddle with someone else!

Selk'bag Temperature Performance Fact:many people think the Selk'bag is dramatically colder than similarly constructed mummy bags (insulation, shell, baffled construction) due to arm and leg separation.  However, by having arms and legs separated, the Selk'bag only loses 2 to 3 degrees of temperature performance.


The manufacturer's warranty on the Selk'bag covers all manufacturer's defects for a period of 1 year.  Issues caused by owner misuse are not covered under the warranty.  As the exclusive distributor of the Selk'bag Sleepwear System, Selk'bag Australia will administer all customer warranty claims and reserves the right to repair or replace the defective product at their discretion.  Please see our full warranty policy here

We take the utmost care in ensuring our goods are of high quality. However, if for any reason you find that our products are faulty or unsatisfactory, your item arrives damaged, or you did not receive what you ordered, we will be determined to resolve any issues to satisfy our customers.

Online purchases claimed as faulty will need to be sent back to us for an official assessment by the Gear Supply warranty team. You do not need to retain the original packaging nor does the item need to be in resalable condition if you have found it to have a minor or major fault.

The process of lodging your exchange or return is as follows:

2. Re-pack your items safely for transit and send them to the address provided once your return is approved

Please wait until your return is accepted and you receive the email for shipment and documentation information before you post your item/s back to us. Please note we cannot accept pickups or drop-offs at our warehouse due to Occupational Health and Safety legislation.

It is advised you keep a tracking reference for your parcel, so you know when it has been delivered to us.

Each customer will be responsible for the cost of return charges to us for the change of mind* returns or exchanges; however, we will pay for postage on any exchange postage back to you. Shipping costs are non-refundable and will not be reimbursed. If your item is deemed to have a minor or major fault, a return postage label will be issued by us at no cost to you.

The goods are your responsibility until they reach our warehouse, so make sure your return is packaged well and won't get damaged in transit.

Once your goods have been received by Selk'bag please allow up to 5-10 business days for your refund to be processed back to your account. All refunds will be paid back into the original payment account. The retrieval of your refund will depend on the period of time your financial institution takes to process the refund.
